Our Classic pens begin with solid brass — the same substantial, weighted material found in writing instruments many times the price. It's finished by hand, fitted with a German-engineered writing system, and presented in a proper gift box.

Scriveiner designs its pens in London, with classic British styling as the starting point. From there, each part of the process sits with whoever is best placed to do it well. The nib and refill are engineered in Germany, by the same manufacturer trusted by several established pen houses. The pens themselves are manufactured and hand-finished at facilities in China, chosen specifically for their impeccable reputation and capability in precise solid brass construction and finishing, and for the consistency and volume our production requires.
We're specific about this because where something is made matters less than how carefully it's made, and we'd rather you know both. Each stage of the process was placed where the skill for that particular job actually lives, not centralised for the sake of a simpler story.
Register your pen and you're covered by a 2-year no-questions-asked replacement guarantee. Registration takes a couple of minutes and just confirms the pen is yours — after that, if something goes wrong, we replace it.
